Role Overview

We are looking for a Technical Content Engineer with a strong background in technical writing and web development. This role is ideal for engineers who can translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging, and insightful content for enterprise prospects, customers, and developers.

As part of our Technical Content Team, you will play a key role in crafting content that resonates with engineers, CTOs, and other technical decision-makers. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams—including software engineers, DevOps, product managers, and leadership—to ensure our messaging is accurate, impactful, and valuable.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and edit compelling technical content, focusing on Vercel’s features, products, and frameworks.
• Serve as “customer zero,” ensuring content meets the needs of our users and enhances their understanding of our platform.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, product updates, and developer needs to create relevant and effective content.
• Review and refine content and code examples for clarity, accuracy, and technical depth.
• Work closely with the Marketing team to execute content projects, ensuring timely delivery.
• Continuously learn and adapt to new products, processes, and best practices to improve content quality and effectiveness.
• Report directly to the Director of Content.Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Writer, Developer Advocate, or related role, with a proven track record of creating impactful content.
• Experience in web development, particularly frontend technologies.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Next.js, and Vercel.
• Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear, concise, and engaging manner.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, thriving in a cross-functional team environment.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and articulate them effectively to diverse audiences.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment with strong project management skills.

Base salary range: $130,000 – $169,000 (San Francisco, CA).
Actual salary may vary based on location, experience, and skill set.
Compensation also includes benefits and equity options.
