About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Director of Social Media to lead and elevate AlphaSense’s global organic social media strategy. This leadership role will focus on building audience engagement, increasing brand awareness, and strengthening customer loyalty through innovative and data-driven social media campaigns. The Director will oversee a small in-house team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to position AlphaSense as a leader in market intelligence and search.

This role requires a strategic, analytical, and creative mindset, with the ability to drive impactful social-first activations while maintaining a practical approach. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of B2B enterprise software, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of developing organic social strategies that deliver measurable results.

This is a full-time position based in the U.S. (remote or in-person, with a preference for East Coast-based candidates) and reports to the Vice President of Global Communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global organic social media strategy to increase brand awareness and audience engagement.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs), providing leadership with actionable insights and quarterly reports.
  • Lead audience mapping, targeting, and campaign development to optimize organic social performance.
  • Manage best practices for social media across the company and oversee reputation management and customer outreach.
  • Develop training programs to educate employees on social selling and the benefits of social media engagement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—including PR, Product, Sales, Design, and Events—to align social media efforts with company initiatives.
  • Engage with online communities to foster brand loyalty and meaningful interactions.
  • Oversee social media budgets, ensuring maximum ROI while maintaining high-quality content.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging platforms to keep AlphaSense at the forefront of social media innovation.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in social media management, preferably within high-growth technology companies.
  • 7+ years of people management experience, with a strong track record of leading and growing professional teams.
  • Proven experience developing organic social media strategies that drive engagement and business impact.
  • Deep passion for brand-building and social metrics, with the ability to connect them to business outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills to translate data into compelling narratives and strategic decisions.
  • Expertise in organic social best practices, social listening, and performance reporting.
  • Demonstrated success in content strategy and audience engagement across major social media platforms.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience crafting short-form and long-form content.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with a results-driven approach.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Compensation & Benefits 

  • Base Salary Range: $175,000 – $233,000 USD
  • Additional benefits include performance-based bonuses, equity options, and a comprehensive benefits package.
